To Everyone Else this memorial page is just another addition to all the others, but to me this memorial page is in Loving Memory of my wonderful nana who died on 07/10/2009 from the result of a stroke she had suffered 2 days previous, she was surrounded by the love of her family and i was holding her hand in mine when she passed.
My Nana will also miss her cat Suzie very much i saw how much my nana loved her when suzie would jump onto her lap, my nana's eyes would just light up so much at the sight of seeing her.
She has left behind 8 of her children Stuart, Janet, James, Mary, Twins Jock (my dad) and Jean, George and Catherine and waiting for her in heaven is her oldest daughter Margaret and oldest son Ward.
She has also left behind so many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren infact too many to mention them all but i know deep in my heart she loved them all very much.

There are so many memories that i have of my nana from being a young teenage girl right through to my adult age that i will never forget the nana she was to me and her love towards me, something i felt everytime we were together.

My Nana was a very open person if she didn't like you or had something to say then she was never scared to say what she felt, alot like me at times but i always say "well if people dont like it then tough" laying all that aside though she was a very friendly, caring and loving person, something that only people who really knew her could see. I remember my nana having a few different homes from the one she shared in Lochside with her long-term partner and companion Peter, to her home in College Street but the house that carried all my memories that i shared with my nana were in Portland Drive, i still pass the house and remember it being her's and how it was decorated and everything every tiny little detail that made it my nana's home.

My Nana introduced me to Glen Aros Christian Fellowship and it was something that we attended every week for a number of years till i gave it up there were thing's that i saw that made me realise it was not for me but that don't mean i dont believe cause i dont go to church.

She loved cats, loved to knit, worked for charity and was a well loved christian lady who loved to dance and sing when she had spare time to.
Nana thank you so much for the memories i will never forget you or the times we shared together when i was young, being with you reminded me that i was young and to enjoy it while i was.

I'll Never forget how when i stayed over with you we would snuggle into bed together and the feeling of the warmth inside your bed when you had your electric blanket on and the smell of your perfume on the blankets.

The Times when you and i would bake together you had all the hundreds & thousands, the icing and all the food colouring in many different colours, and as for them scones and rock buns well what can i say you always did make the best home baking i ever tasted, you also let me and Lisa(my cousin)use your sheets to make tents over the washing line and inside we would play Cluedo, eat goodies, and drink juice that you had given us.

The Best thing for me that i'll always remember is how you took me and Jason on hoilday to Cala Gran it was the best ever and was my first proper holiday i never wanted it to end, i remember a
photo that was taken with me and a lad Anthony that i had met and Jason with a lassie named Jess and right in the background was you lying on your sunlounger looking at us over the top of your sunglasses i have since found that photo nana and i'm so very happy i did. I loved helping you with the gardening cause you had the best gardening tools ever and i loved that i got to use them and if it was sunny we would sit out the back garden and you would bring out your little sun chairs were we would just sit and talk and read your magazines, funny enough i remember you liked your crosswords and you would let me do the wordsearches.

There Are so many more things i'll always remember about you but one thing that will remain precious and very close to my heart is that you were with me on the happiest day of my life, when i got married to my long-term partner James of 13yrs, sadly we were not able to get you out to come to the actual wedding, and i did try nana i really did i wanted you there more than anything but i got fed alot of excuses which led to me coming to visit you at Charnwood before i got married with your Great Granddaughter Cheyenne and my photographer so that i could have you in my photo's, they were my 1st wedding photo's taken and i was the proudest bride and Grandaughter ever, just dont think you realised or really knew what it meant to me to have you at my wedding as you would have a go at me cause you never got to see any of the wedding and that you were left out it really hurt that i had tried so hard but was not able to have you there in the end and i never meant for you feel like that nana i really didn't i'm so so sorry nana that you didn't get to share the happiest day of my life with me properly, i feel we were both let down so badly and they just didn't care for anyone's feelings or how much it really meant to us both, it was the happiest day of my life and also the saddest cause you were not there with me.

I Love You Nana and will never forget you, i'm glad you knew and met both your Great Grandaughters Cheyenne and Kendra and cant wait till Kendra is old enough so i can share all my childhood stories with her and tell her all about you, just like i already have done with Cheyenne, she laughed at my tent building stories but i'm glad i have the memories cause some of the best days of my life as a young girl were spent sharing them with you.
